Here it is! The long awaited general update on my life in Rishikesh. Furthermore you will be happy to know that I am going to kep my promise. I will blog on a regular basis. Actually I made the website to blog and document my journey in India. Yet we all know how that went! 3 blog posts and more than a year later.
My philosophy of life has changed. As a result I am now creating content. While I had good intentions I had no direction. Consequently it left my blog untouched. It seems like I am now able to keep my promise
Major life changes lately
First thing first. As I decided to stay longer in Rishikesh at the middle of September, things started to happened way faster than I could ever foresee. Since I already stayed much longer than the intended two weeks, I decided to stick around. Somehow shortly after my mother left I had the great opportunity to meet some people that helped me to shed some those unnecessary layers I was holding on to. Major changes happened! These are just a few:
- I wear lighter colours
- I am really getting used to Indian time
- I am much happier and think less
- Almost no physical exercise – my body needed a rest
- I take things as they come – I adapt
I now see a point of direction in my life that I am satisfied with
After many years of being completely sucked into suffering and fighting against my own nature I now have a direction in my life. I always wanted to be my own boss. As a result I’ve started MasumiYog which will be my Danish based business. I will offer yoga classes, Ayurvedic massages, different holistic treatments, retreats, public speaking, and much more.
This blog comes in, as I always wanted to write for a larger audience. BUT! I never knew the exact purpose of my writing. As a result of starting this blog I can reach beyond the themes of yoga and Ayurveda. It is so exciting! Yaeeee!
So what is the deal with name of this blog? And your name change?
Good question my astral friend. I will make a long story short. I basically found my spiritual name at a time where I was NOT expecting it (isn’t that always the case? Great things happen when you stop looking). As you may have seen in the URL it is:
My name has meaning.
- ‘Masum’: Innocent, soft and child in Hindi
- ‘Alakh’: That was is beyond identification
First of all the change come from deep inside of me. And most of all that comes down to a lack of identification with my old name. Furthermore there is one true constant in this world, and that is the one of change. As a result of that there I see the beauty of a new identification rather than clinging on to a name that does not sit well with me.
Thank you for being so kind and embracing of this change. It means a lot to me <3
Update and future of my old blog
What will happen to it? Well. Since I no longer identify with that name I will let go of the domain. Since my friend Imran helped me a lot in Bangalore with tips and tricks, I am now ready to write. Most noteworthy here is how he helped me set it up – I was ready to blog. I thank you dearly! Of course things happen in a perfect way. As much as I wanted it to happen, basically nothing happened from my site.
Finally! I am doing what I wanted to do the last year. Namely to SHARE information. Most of my hard drive is loaded with drafts of my writing. It ranges from yoga, grief, Ayurveda and thoughts of India to diary like writing.
My vision for this blog and YouTube
I always wanted to make content in both English and my native language Danish. It sees I have found a platform to do both. I want to blog about everything in this blog, from yoga, Ayurveda, holistic lifestyle, tips and tricks to a better health to my time in India and experiences and write about piercings.
Updating my skills
In addition to writing I plan to create a lot more YouTube videos. It seems like my own vision requires some practice of my video editing skills. I guess that was expected.
Close capture [CC] is important and I really thought I was done with transcription
I want to close capture [CC] my videos. Whatever language I will speak in and to Danish or English. This is purely because I have worked within the field of disability. I want to make my content as accisile as possible. I am slowly learning to how too edit those vids.
I must say I had no intentions of doing transcriptions after Uni, but here I am anyway.
Thank you for sticking around!
Merry Christmas to all you out there! Thank you for reading! And for being patient with me 🙂 Like, share and keep following me.
P.s. I will find a way to make a subscription update thingy/subscription box-form or those of you who are not on Facebook.
